Church isn't something we do on Sundays. A church is a group of people who have the common mission of being a light in the darkness. In Jesus' sermon on the mount, he teaches, "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before people so they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14, 16 NET) At Vail Christian Church, we've integrated an intra-church, online networking software called THE CITY in order to communicate more effectively to our people, encourage communication within our congregation throughout the week and help us all to stay connected. It is a way for us to remember our common purpose to be a city located on a hill, not just on Sundays, but every day. |
